Zeren Badar created the ‘Accident Series’, exploring a peculiar combination of photography, painting and collage. He puts together three dimensional pictures with found objects, food and cheaply printed old paintings. Using strong shadows, layering, crumpling and folding effects, we get the illusion of a 3D work in the end although we’re looking at a flat picture. Zeren Badar adds details and forms to the painting with rather unusual materials such as candy, colored rubber bands or a shoe. The artist explains: ‘By using unexpected juxtapositions of objects, I try to create ambiguity and pull viewers attention deeper to my photographs. In many ways, I examine new type of way still life.’
