An exploration into the affects of the weather on our music choices.
Step-up the Spotify Insights team with a new feature that explored user relationships with music against moods or circumstances surrounding our lives. In the case of Climatune, the team conducted a study in partnership with AccuWeather, gathering data from hundreds of weather stations around the world and correlating against 85 billion anonymised, aggregated streams of music in over 900 cities to reveal patterns.
