Progressive and appetising rebranding for eastern and western cuisines
Canapé Agency creates a fresh identity for Roll Club food delivery, in Kharkiv.
Roll Club is a food delivery service in Kharkiv which has recently opened a restaurant in the city center. Canapé was in charge of their rebranding and has created a new, fresh identity for the restaurant and delivery service, showing the variety of cuisines and dishes in a modern and elegant way. The Roll Club menu includes four cuisines; Japanese (sushi), Chinese (wok), Italian (pizza, pasta) and American (burgers, fries).
Through a progressive visual language Canapé was able to convey that Roll Club is not just about rolls. The graphic elements symbolize the different cuisines and their country of origin. Details such as the stars and stripes for the USA, olive leaves for Italy, red and pink for Chinese lanterns and typographic inspiration from Japanese stamp prints, make for a cohesive and appetising identity. The logo captures the symbiosis between the eastern and western cuisines that form Roll Club’s unique menu – a splash of red for a Western staple and a fish for the oriental influence. In addition, the symbols and palette were extended throughout the interior design: the logo turned into an installation, there are blue and pink floors, red stairs and an illustration of the Kharkiv streets decorates several walls. Shout out to the graphic designer Daria Stetsenko, architect Volodymyr Ponomarenko, Daria Stetsenko on the city streets illustration and Danil Shtangeev for the 3D models.
