Beautiful branding of The Birdyard eatery & bar
Vienna based creative studio Atelier Olschinsky show their class with this simply stunning identity.
The Birdyard is the new venture of Vienna restauranteurs and brothers, Feng and Yong Liu. As the name suggests, the theme is a nod to our feathered friends and the freedom they have in our world. The vision that "we are all free as birds" is the inspiration behind the restaurant and bar as a single destination for a multi-tude of experiences.
This freedom is brought to life in a beautiful visual language by the talented guys at Atelier Olschinsky, who developed a new custom typeface and simple design system. The system introduces stripped back information and messaging, contrasted with vibrant, full-of-life illustrations of natural subjects and birds. This approach carries through into product photography, showing expertly crafted food and cocktails as the centre piece of the experience.
The overall effect is a calming atmosphere, bringing the eatery to life as a classy, desirable social experience. Great work.
Atelier Olschinsky founded in 2002 is a small creative studio based in Vienna, Austria. Peter Olschinsky and Verena Weiss are operating in various fields such as graphic design, illustration, photography and art direction. In addition to their jobs for clients they also run several independent projects, always trying to develop and refine their work.
