Offbeat and curious illustrations bordering on unexpected surrealism
Benedikt Luft illustration mixes fact and fantasy with a clever touch of humour.
Benedikt is a talented German illustrator and graphic designer from Frankfurt, who has worked for clients such as Google, MIT technology review, Audiolith records, Xbox, Converse and many others. His portfolio and style are hugely varied, ranging from straight-up editorial commissions for the likes of Zeit Campus and Converse, to surreal comics and some gorgeous sleeve imagery for the Secret 7” records project. His illustrations are fun and silly, always remaining on the right side of frivolous and showing a dedication to craft. Benedikt worked at HORT and it's no surprise that he has an interesting range of clients and work on his portfolio. He recently started an ongoing series called "Cages", depicting different aspects of social systems and our human conditions within these boundaries. Below we showcase his Cages illustrations and a selection of some other examples of his great work. A lovely view on Benedikt's world through his peculiar lenses.
